Born of a Hungarian Gypsy, and Yugoslav peasant in 1953, I started drinking (Slivovitz) before I started drawing. At the age of 16 I thought that life in Coober Pedy [Opal mining town near central Australia] would be much more exciting than Adelaide. I was right. That’s when I re-discovered Frank Frazzetta, and realized just how skillful he truly was. I just started drawing, painting and observing. I am self-taught, and then later decided to open a school to teach the art of making art to others.
As my taste for art increased I discovered other artists from throughout the ages including Albert Bierstadt, John Harris, J.W.Waterhouse, Bruce Pennington, Hans Heysen, Frederic Church, Jim Burns, John Martin, and many, many more (do yourself a favour and check them out, they are fantastic).
I love working for myself (because I’m a great boss) and receive a lot of work from assorted businesses and the private sector.
I love painting everything, my favorite piece is always the piece I am currently working on because I am able to live the picture.
I have launched this website to share my passion for art.
